Blood
tests are very common procedures that are generally prescribed by the
doctors to get more clear information about your health and
wellbeing. There are multiple reasons for which a blood sample is
taken and the most common ones are-
- One of the most common reason for which the different blood tests are performed is to check the presence of certain diseases such as diabetes, HIV, and to check the cholesterol level, prostate cancer and so on. The regular blood tests are necessary for early detection of all these diseases and different other diseases. The sooner these diseases are detected, the sooner you can get the right treatment. - These tests are also performed to check the red blood cell counts (RBC’s), white blood cells count (WBC’s), hemoglobin level and platelets level in the body. These cells play a major role in maintaining the immune system of your body, acting like a defense mechanism for your body. Moreover, if you are unsure about your blood group, you just need to give your blood sample in the laboratory and can know about your blood group easily.
- However, there are many different ways to check the pregnancy but the most effective way is to get a blood test. Instead, number of doctors also believes that getting a blood test is one of the best ways and prefers result via blood test than any other method.
- Sometimes, a blood test is also performed to determine how much time a blood takes to clot. This specific type of test is known as coagulation test. This test is mainly used to determine the clotting of the blood i.e. if excessive clotting takes place, it means that the individual is at high risk for blood clots and strokes but it is often difficult to measure.
